Armored DisplayPort optical connectivity
The Swegltek Armored DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable combines HBR3 transmission up to 32.4Gbps with an internal metal armor layer beneath its black outer jacket. It is designed for compatible display installations where optical signal transmission and protected cable routing are useful.
Armor inside the cable
The finished cable has a smooth black outer jacket. Inside, a helical metal armor sleeve surrounds the hybrid optical core. The jacket forms the exterior surface, while the internal armor adds a mechanical protective layer around the core. Cutaway graphics illustrate the structure; they do not mean that metal is normally exposed along the finished cable.
Armor does not remove the need for careful handling. Avoid sharp bends, heavy loads, excessive pulling and stress at the connectors. No quantified crush resistance, tensile rating or minimum bend radius is specified for this listing.
Key features
- DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3: maximum aggregate link rate of 32.4Gbps, subject to compatible equipment.
- Up to 8K at 60Hz with DSC: the source and display must support Display Stream Compression and the required display mode.
- Hybrid optical and copper design: optical high-speed signal transmission with copper conductors for the cable's supported electrical functions.
- HDR, audio and HDCP 2.2: supported with compatible source equipment, content and display.
- Internal helical metal armor: beneath the black outer jacket, rather than an exterior metal braid.
- Directional installation: connect the Source end to the computer or other DP output and the Display end to the monitor.
Plan a professional display route
Arrange compatible graphics workstations, display systems, meeting rooms or control-room equipment around the required cable path. Check connector access, routing clearance and the video mode before completing the installation.
Installation
- Confirm the required DisplayPort mode and DSC support on the source and display.
- Identify the Source and Display ends before routing.
- Use gentle curves and protect the connectors during installation.
- Do not pull on the housings or expose the internal armor by stripping the jacket.
- Test the intended video and audio mode before final routing.

FAQS
Find answers to the most common questions about our products, shipping, returns and support.
No. The exterior is a black jacket. The helical armor is an internal layer.
The stated 8K60 mode requires DSC support on compatible connected equipment. Actual resolution and refresh rate depend on the full setup.
Follow the Source and Display markings. This listing uses a directional active optical connection.
No such rating is specified here. Confirm any installation-specific mechanical or environmental requirements separately.
