swegltek SDUY-8730 DisplayPort 1.4 + USB 3.0 Active Optical Cable | 5–100m
Short description
Route DisplayPort video and USB 3.0 data through one integrated optical cable assembly. The swegltek SDUY-8730 combines a 32.4Gbps DisplayPort 1.4 link with USB 3.0 data rates up to 5Gbps, with lengths up to 100m for planned AV installations. Separate DP and USB-A connectors at each end keep the two interfaces accessible.

DisplayPort and USB in One Cable Assembly
Bring video and USB data along the same installation route. This integrated DisplayPort and USB optical cable combines dedicated DP and USB branches within one main cable, helping organize longer equipment connections.
DisplayPort 1.4 Link Bandwidth
The DisplayPort path supports a link bandwidth of up to 32.4Gbps. Confirm your source, display and intended video settings before installation. Available resolutions and refresh rates depend on the complete system configuration.
USB 3.0 Data up to 5Gbps
The USB path supports USB 3.0 data rates up to 5Gbps. Actual transfer speed depends on the connected equipment. USB 2.0 and earlier protocols are not supported; check the protocol used by every connected USB device.
Optical Runs up to 100m
Choose a length that suits your equipment layout and cable route. The SDUY-8730 uses OM3 multimode optical fiber, with six fibers for the DP path and two for the USB path. Maximum supported cable length is 100m.
Separate Connectors at Each End
Each end has one full-size DisplayPort male connector and one USB Type-A male connector. Match the DP source/display ends and USB host/device ends to the intended equipment. Verify the USB connection arrangement before ordering.
Designed for Planned AV Installations
Suitable for professional AV, meeting-room and digital-signage projects that require both DisplayPort and compatible USB 3.0 connections. Verify endpoint power, interface compatibility and cable routing before permanent installation.
Compatibility and installation
- USB 3.0 only. USB 2.0 and earlier are not supported.
- A USB 3.0 port does not make a USB 2.0 peripheral compatible with this cable.
- Confirm the DP source/display and USB host/device orientation.
- Confirm how both ends receive power before ordering and installation.
- Test the complete link at the selected length and video settings before concealing the cable.
- Follow the specified bend radius and avoid sharp bends or loading the connectors.
- Optical signal transmission does not imply that this cable delivers power to remote peripherals.
D means the applicable cable outside diameter. For the nominal 8.6mm main cable, 10D equals an 86mm radius and 20D equals a 172mm radius. These are radii, not diameters.

FAQS
Find answers to the most common questions about our products, shipping, returns and support.
Do not assume compatibility with ordinary USB keyboards and mice. The cable does not support USB 2.0 or earlier protocols. Check each device's actual USB protocol and the complete connection arrangement.
The supplied specification lists 8K60. Confirm the exact color depth, chroma format, DSC requirements, connected equipment and selected cable length before choosing this video mode. DisplayPort 1.4 alone is not a guarantee that every 8K60 format will work.
The endpoint electronics require power. Confirm the power arrangement at the DP and USB ends before installation. Do not assume that the optical run supplies remote-device power.
No. This assembly has separate DisplayPort and USB Type-A connectors. Select it for equipment with the required interfaces and compatible connection topology.
Length options follow the project pricing schedule from 5m to 100m, including a 7.5m option. Select sufficient length for the route and service slack without violating the bend-radius requirements.
